DAAP Congratulates Mt. Matutum DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 6 For the Successful Hosting of 6th Mindanao Masonic Youth Organizations Sportsfest

The DeMolay Alumni Association of the Philippines (DAAP) congratulated Brother Jan Michael Vincent S. Benzonan, Chapter President of Mt. Matutum DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 6 (General Santos City), including its officers and members, for the successful hosting of the 6th Mindanao Masonic Youth Organizations Sportsfest (MMYOS) and DAAP Mid-Year Officers Meeting, which was held last October 25-26, 2014 at Isla Jardin Del Mar Resort in Gumasa, Sarangani Province, Philippines.

The said event, termed as: “Amazing Race: Fellowship by the Bay”, was exceptionally well-managed, starting from the transfer of delegates from General Santos City to the venue site in Gumasa, registration and billeting of delegates, execution of the Amazing Race games, conduct of recreational beach activities, program for the dinner and fellowship, arranging for the DAAP Mid-Year Officers meeting, and up to the departure of the delegates. It was noted that travel safety (considering that water activities were involved) and security (considering the venue was remotely located) was adequately provided.

A total of 197 participants coming from 17 DeMolay chapters, 11 alumni chapters, three Rainbow assemblies, one Job’s Daughter Bethel and one Amaranth chapter attended the event. The participants from the different chapters were distributed into four teams (green, red, blue and yellow), composed of 35-40 members for each team and the garcinia cambogia el precio. The team distribution intended to allow each participant to know the other Brethren and sisters outside of their own respective chapters and groups.

The Amazing Race games included the following: 50-meter beach run, 20-meter swim, 40-meter/2-man banca paddle, obstacle course run, Frisbee shoot-out, minute-to-win contest, air-soft rifle shoot-out, jigsaw puzzle solution and flag raising competition. The best team time shall win the competition. Subsequently, the Green team won the championship of the Amazing Race gazette of the Philippines. Each member of the Green team was awarded with a 6th MMYOS champion’s medallion. The highlight of the dinner and fellowship was the unlimited serving of tuna sashimi sliced from a large fresh tuna fish by the expert hands of Brother Bong Besana of Sultan Kudarat DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 47 (Tacurong City).

The DAAP also held its Mid-Year Officers Meeting on October 26, 2014 with the following alumni chapters in attendance: Agusan Valley DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 2 (Butuan City), Mt. Matutum No. 6 (General Santos City), Fidelity No. 9 (Batangas City), Rio Grande No. 21 (Kabacan, North Cotabato), Maayad Ha Sulod No. 28 (Malaybalay City), Dad Filemon S. Pajares No. 41 (Pagadian City), Sultan Kudarat No. 47 (Tacurong City), and Mt. Musuan No. 55 (Maramag, Bukidnon). The DAAP turned-over the permanent Charter of Maayad Ha Sulod DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 28 (Malaybalay City) and issued the Certificates of Membership to those concerned alumni chapters present. Mt. Musuan DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 55, in collaboration with Maayad Ha Sulod DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 28, shall hold and host the 7th Mindanao Masonic Youth Organizations Sportsfest at Central Mindanao University in Maramag, Bukidnon in October 2015.
