It takes 1.5 hours by mountain trail to reach the school which is located at the southernmost edges of the Sierra Madre mountain range.

Brother Rey Arvin Serrano, Chapter President of Escudo, initially turned over two 50-kgs. sacks of rice and financial support to sustain a weekly nutritional feeding program from December 2014 up to the end of classes in March or April 2015 for 30 multi-grade students of Bitik Elementary School to its Principal and Head Teacher, Ms. Nieva Tongohon.

He further conveyed that the succeeding phases of the project shall include the provision of school supplies and educational materials; minor repair of existing school buildings and sanitary facilities; and finally, the conduct of skills training for livelihood projects to the parents of the students. Most of the families rely on upland farming and gathering of forest products for their income.
